The Otori family is well known for their financial success. Among other things they are the owner and operator of Phoenix Wonderland, an amusement park that was founded several years ago to be a fun time for people of all ages. It placed it's emphasis on family fun and making people smile. However, over the years it has begun to struggle financially against larger amusement parks despite having a devoted fanbase of regulars. When it's founder passed away, the operations was passed on to his family. It is currently managed by two of his grandchildren: Keisuke and Shousuke. An effort to revitalize the park began and several rides and stages were either updated or replaced. Otori Emu, his youngest granddaughter, would take up a job at the park in order to protect it's first and oldest stage from being demolished in an attempt to preserve her grandfather's original wishes for the park. She hired Tenma Tsukasa to help her create a troupe that would perform there and put on shows regularly in order to save the stage. Wonderlands x Showtime would continue to operate from the Wonder Stage, going on to participate in a park-wide competition against the other stages and their performers and claiming first place after several performances.

However, the reality of the park's situation had not changed in the eyes of Keisuke and Shousuke, who were in the process of arranging a deal with Riley Entertainment in order to rehaul the amusement park and replace it's mascots with licensed characters from the already popular entertainment group. Dissatisfied, Wonderlands x Showtime and several other passionate groups within the park came together to put on a magnificent show in an effort to protect the current park and dissuade management from making this deal. The performance which was an incredible success swayed the hearts of both the Otori men and Riley, who agreed to put a stop to the changes; naming Wonderlands x Showtime as the amusement park's ambassadors. The park's challenges were far from over of course and it would be up to them to help guide the park in a new direction and rejuvenate the park financially without sacrificing it's core principles.

From a very young age, Otori Emu was raised on fantastical ideals and encouraged to embrace her unique and creative energy in a multitude of ways. After the passing of her grandfather however, her family became somewhat fragmented and it became more difficult for her to express her true self at home. While she may seem at times wild and carefree; she is incredibly empathetic and capable of reading other's emotions. Aware that her childish enthusiasm and energy annoy her brothers, she goes out of her way to restrain herself in front of them so as not to irritate them. She is incredibly considerate of others, even if her stubbornness and passion can lead to her getting carried away at times. She always puts others before herself. There are times when her desires to make everyone happy and avoid causing trouble for them will result in her putting her own worries and pains behind a mask. Having been called out for this behavior it is something she has learned to work past with her troupe but it does still come up from time to time; particularly with people she's less familiar with.

However, Emu is a person who would happily befriend anyone. She tries to be thoughtful of everyone and help everyone feel included. She's outgoing and talkative but she knows when to listen and will be supportive of other people's problems. While it may come across as being nosy, she really doesn't like leaving anyone who's going through trouble on their own. Even if she can't fix the problem or they don't want to talk about it, she will do her best to make them smile.
